Senior Doctor of Philosophy (Medicine) candidate at University of Sydney, Australia. Based at Cell Signalling Unit at the Children's Medical Research Institute. Supervisors: Prof. Phillip Robinson and Dr. Leszek Lisowski. Fields of interest and current research foci include: 1) pharmacological targeting of proteins for therapeutics, 2) high throughput screening for identification of novel compounds, 3) re-purposing compounds for new utility as well as 4) establishing drug binding sites on proteins for the development of higher potency compounds. Some presentations to date (chronological) include but not limited to: 37th Annual Meeting of the Australasian Neuroscience Society (Poster), 43rd Lorne Conference on Protein Structure and Function (Poster), Australian Society for Medical Research Scientific Meeting (Oral), QMB Satellite Drugs, Devices and Diagnostics (Oral; prize awarded) and ComBio 2018 (Oral). Looking to attend Lorne 2019 as an opportunity to present my research to the international community as well as establish connections pertaining to research career opportunities and collaborations.
